I would want to be stuck in there with Christine. She is very beautiful and she could keep me entertained with her singing abilities. I think being with any other character would just be annoying but having her would be the best and to have her sing would be soothing and not as bad.
Painting
1.) When I looked at the painting I saw a lot of emotion in this man’s face that could have meant a lot of things and lead to an abundance of story lines. I felt like there were so many options to talk about because of the way the man is dressed and his emotions that he is displaying, also how the painting is called peasant. I just saw how it the man was depressed and kind of linked it to the Great Depression. His clothes and his expressions is really what lead me to the story line that I chose.
2.) I think the difficulties that I had were just really getting started on the story. I think choosing the topic as well as just getting the first paragraph or so out of the way was the most difficult part. Once I started writing it became easier and it was much simpler to become more fluent in my writing but the first few sentences were difficult to write and come up with an idea right away.
3.) I think the one thing I liked about the writing is it kind of relates to our economic issues today. And I’m a history buff so I like looking back at history and seeing what happened and putting myself in his shoes and looking what I would’ve had to gone through in his situation and how I may have had to deal with it.

My favorite author is probably James Patterson. He is a murder mystery author. So if I sat down with a cup of coffee with him I would talk about an idea of a murder mystery. I like these kinds of books and there is a movie called the fan which is about a mystery with a baseball fanatic that goes crazy and starts messing with a player’s life. So I would have an idea with a murder mystery within a baseball organization and the investigation that goes along with it. I would like him to respond with ideas to expand mine and his thoughts on how to make the novel more interesting and intriguing.

The key points in this reading is how we interpret meaning. There are different meanings in what one word might mean to me and what it might mean to someone else. The interpretation is also a key point in this reading. There is not necessarily a correct way to interpret something but it is showing that there are many ways to. There are many different factors like who the writer is if it is a male or a female. There are many factors besides this. But there are many different ways to interpret something within a text. Text can mean many different things to different people reading it.
In The Night
It seemed to me like they were in a forest near some mountains or just a kind of rocky terrain. In the story they talked a lot about moving boulders out of the way and things like this. And how they got there was described as kind of a hike.
This is maybe a little extreme but its the kind of image that I was thinking about when I was reading the story because of the descriptions.

If I had a younger sibling that was starting college I would really just recommend to begin reading regularly and get used to it to the closest point that they may like it. Reading is an inevitable part of college. Writing is also something every student enrolled here at Miami is going to have to do a considerable amount of. I would recommend them to practice writing as much as possible. The thing I think that helped me become a better writer than before in my first semester was just the amount of writing I did. I wasn’t used to writing that much but it helped out a lot. Therefore I would recommend that my younger sibling just do them both as much as possible because just like anything else practice makes perfect so to say or as close as anyone can get to it.
